RMI’s dedicated patient coordinators work with you to make your travel as seamless as possible. We provide assistance with visas, airport transfers (including transfers by ambulance if required), and reservations for RMI-owned accommodations you may need.
The staff at the RMI International Patient Centre, specifically your coordinator, will handle booking all your doctor’s appointments and hospital admission for the days that work best for you.
Dedicated accommodation is available within the RMI premises; therefore, you will be free from the hassle of finding accommodation facilities.
You can make payments using credit cards, wire transfers, or bank transfers. Additionally, we accept cash in various currencies. For your convenience, a dedicated currency exchange outlet is available at RMI.

Before your stay

After receiving your request, we contact you to complete the necessary information and inform you about the treatment options for your health problem. 

Information in advance:

After receiving your request, we contact you to complete the necessary information and inform you about the treatment options for your health problem. We assign you to one of our Case Managers who will advise you throughout the entire process until your arrival at our centre.

Case study and personalised treatment plan:

Your medical case file is studied by our specialists, or by a multidisciplinary team if necessary. We prepare a detailed personalized treatment plan and estimated quote (in English, Pashto, Dari, Urdu).

Pre-travel arrangements:

If you accept, we will start the procedures for your admission to the hospital. We also offer you advice on booking accommodation, airport transfers and other complementary services you may require. We start scheduling tests and visits, which will be assisted by an interpreter if necessary.

While your relative or family member is hospitalized, we will always be by your side to resolve any situation or query.

Reception at the Hospital:

The International Services team will receive you personally upon arrival at the Hospital.

Personalised care at the Hospital:

Upon your arrival at the hospital, you will be welcomed by your Patient Manager, who will accompany you throughout your treatment and oversee the comprehensive care plan, both medically and logistically. Our PMs Pashto, Urdu, English, and Dari. If necessary, we will provide an interpreting service to accompany you to scheduled consultations and tests.

Facilities to keep your child close:

If you bring your child along, we offer daycare services where we will take care of them.

Once in your home country, we offer support to answer any questions you may have.

Discharge preparation:

We provide you with a copy of all exams and the medical report translated into English. We advise you on the pharmacological treatments recommended by the medical team to help you find them in your country. We advise you on the pharmacological treatments prescribed by the medical team so that you can follow the treatment in your country, and we help you with the purchase of suitable medical equipment.

Remote care:

Once in your home country, we offer support to answer any questions you may have. We can monitor the patient’s progress together with your doctor in the country of origin to help your recovery. We organise, if you wish, video follow-up visits with your referring doctor and help you plan your return to our centre for follow-up visits.
